Marabou Café Restaurant located at 1592 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA is a new Haitian-Caribbean restaurant owned by two sisters, Paulette & Guylene Innocent. Ms Paulette is Executive Chef with two decades of experience & is a successful restauranteur. Formerly, the Head Chef of the hot spot Marabou Café in Pembroke Pines, Florida & Hollywood Live Bar and Lounge, Hollywood, Florida.

The sisters were born & raised in Port – Au – Prince, Haiti. Where they learned to cook traditional Haitian dishes from their mother. Early in their adult life, the sisters got married & migrated to the United States. They became nurses, but their love for food remained a passion. Living in Florida & he Boston area, thee sisters dreamed of one da. opening up a restaurant together.

Marabou Café offers delicious entrées with health conscience products & ingredients. The menu includes dishes born out of African, Caribbean and French influences. But the biggest ingredient is one not found in the cupboards, but instead in the hearts of those behind the counter. “We cook with love. We pray when we open & close & ask for the blessing of the food.” Says Guylene Innocent, Co-Owner of Marabou Café.
